This invention relates to the measurement of urine biomarkers levels by mass spectrom-etry or immune assay for diagnosing nephropathy, monitoring nephropa-thy progress, assessing efficacy of a nephropathy treatment and assessing renal toxicity of an agent.. These urine biomarkers include leukocyte--associated Ig-like receptor-2, alpha--1 acid glycoprotein, their fragments, and combinations thereof. La présente invention concerne la mesure de niveaux de biomarqueurs urinaires par spectrométrie de masse ou par dosage immunologique pour le diagnostic de la néphropathie, la surveillance de la progression de la néphropathie, l'évaluation de l'efficacité d'un traitement de néphropathie et l'évaluation de la toxicité rénale d'un agent.
