METHODS FOR MODELING, DISPLAYING, DESIGNING, AND OPTIMIZING FIXED CUTTER BITS

A method for designing a fixed cutter drill bit is provided. The rate of penetration of the fixed cutter drill bit during drilling through an earth formation is calculated. The calculated rate of penetration at a selected time interval is then graphically displayed.
