Summary:Protection for elements (1) made from composite material that are protected where the geometry thereof is complex, e.g. borders, ridges, edges and corners, against electrical discharges to which those elements are potentially exposed, said elements (1) being obtained by means of the application of a temperature and pressure cycle to a composite material placed on a mould (2) designed such that, once the geometry of the element (1) is known, the mould (2) comprises empty hollows (6) designed for the accumulation of resin in the process for the manufacture of said element (1), which resin will form the dielectric protection for the borders, ridges, edges or corners of the element (1), said resin accumulating and forming layers (3) that remain in position around the free borders of the element (1), thus conferring on the border, ridge, edge or corner surfaces of such an element an electrically insulating dielectric protection that prevents possible discharges and expulsion of hot particles in the event of electrical discharge on said element (1). The invention also relates to a process for manufacturing an element (1) of composite material of this type.
