GUANIDINE-SUBSTITUTED RESIN FOR TRANSESTERIFICATION

A polymeric resin comprising guanidine groups having at least one C4-C22 tertiary alkyl substituent, such as a guanidine group of formula I (see formula I). The polymeric resin can be used as an alternative heterogeneous catalyst for transesterification of esters with alcohols.
