Summary: | The specific density of the thixotropic substance (4) is 1.06-1.065 g/cm 3> and the specific density of the separation medium (5) is 1.070-1.075 g/cm 3>. The thixotropic substance is silicic acid, bentonite, hectorite, kaolin, alginate or their mixture. The separation medium is an aqueous solution and is silicate polymer, saccharide or diatrizoate e.g. Percoll (RTM: colloidal silica particles coated with polyvinylpyrrolidone) and Ficoll (RTM: polysaccharide). The medium and thixotropic substance contain dyes. The porous barrier (6): consist of a hydrophobic material; and/or is equipped with a hydrophobic coating; is bounded by elastomer; is arranged with catch element; has thickness of 2-5 mm; has pore size of 20-50 mu m and is formed by membrane, flap, frit and/or filter. Independent claims are included for: (1) procedure for identifying disseminated tumor cells; (2) arrangement of specific density of the biological sample and the ion separation medium; and (3) a test kit. |
