Summary:A modified strongback for laying pipeline offshore that utilizes a movable clamp. One end of the strongback is modified to include a travel mechanism . A pipe clamp is mounted on the travel mechanism to allow movement of the clamp as necessary to accommodate different pipe joint lengths. A mechanism for locking the clamp in the desired position is provided on the strongback. Renfort modifié pour la pose d'un pipeline en mer utilisant un collier mobile. Une extrémité du renfort est modifiée de façon à inclure un mécanisme mobile. Un collier de serrage est installé sur le mécanisme mobile pour permettre le déplacement du collier nécessaire en vue de recevoir les différentes longueurs de joints de tuyaux. Le renfort comprend un mécanisme de verrouillage du collier dans la position désirée.
