An insect repellent patch is disclosed of a size and weight compatible for wearing on the clothing or skin of a user. The patch has a gross area not in excess of (232) cm2 and bearing one or more insect repellents having a vapor pressure at 25 ~C of not less than about 1 x 10-6 mm Hg. The total amount of insect repellent is in an amount effective to provide practical mosquito personal area repellency. Kits of such patches, with instructions for use, and methods of providng practical personal area insect repellency are also disclosed. L'invention concerne un timbre insectifuge présentant une taille et un poids compatibles pour le port sur les vêtement ou la peau d'un utilisateur. Le timbre présente une surface hors tout ne dépassant pas 232 cm2 et portant un ou plusieurs insectifuges présentant une pression de vapeur à 25 °C supérieure à environ 1 x 10-6 mm Hg. La quantité totale d'insectifuge correspond à une quantité efficace pour assurer la répulsion des moustiques de la zone personnelle pratique. L'invention concerne également des trousses desdits timbres, avec les instructions d'utilisation, ainsi que des procédés pour assurer la répulsion des insectes de la zone personnelle pratique.
