Summary:Method and apparatus for a molding melt conduit (70, 70') and/or runner system (26) that preferably includes a coupling structure (80) having a coupling portion (76') that is configured to couple with a coupling portion (76) of the melt conduit (70, 70') along an interface. Cooling structure (82) is configured to provide a coolant to the coupling structure (80). Preferably, the cooling structure (82) cools the coupling structure (80) to a temperature that causes any melt leaking into the interface to at least partially solidify thereby further sealing the connection(s).
