Un cercueil comprend une coque ayant une paire de parois latérales opposées, une paire de murs d'extrémités opposés, et une bride tournée vers le haut, un couvercle pouvant être fermé sur le bord de la coque, et un cache pouvant être fixé à la coque et masquant la bride lorsque le cache est ouvert, le cache étant au moins semi-rigide, le cache comportant une section à angle droit d'une seule pièce et une section droite.
