Summary:A system and method is provided for a user interface directed to publication and discovery of the presence of users on a network. A sidebar tile is provided that peripherally and unobtrusively displays the presence information of nearby users on the network. The sidebar tile is also used to notify a local user that their information is also being published on the network. The sidebar tile provides options for selecting to change, enable, or disable the presence discovery service. Un système et un procédé pour une interface utilisateur servant à publier et découvrir la présence d'utilisateurs sur un réseau. Une mosaïque de barres latérales affiche de manière périphérique et non obstrusive la présence d'information d'utilisateurs avoisinants sur le réseau. La mosaïque de barres latérales sert également à notifier à un utilisateur local que leur information est en cours de publication sur le réseau. La mosaïque de barres latérales fournit des options de sélection permettant de modifier, activer ou désactiver le service de découverte d'une présence.
