Summary:The invention relates to a method of producing lime water comprising a step whereby lime milk is mixed with a dilution water. The invention is characterised in that the aforementioned dilution water is deionised water and in that it comprises a step whereby at least one silicate is added to the filtered water. The invention also relates to an installation for carrying out the inventive method, said installation comprising at least one lime saturator (1), means (3) of conveying the dilution water into the lime saturator, means (2) of conveying the lime milk into the lime saturator, means (4) of releasing the lime water obtained by bringing the lime milk into contact with the dilution water and means (13) of releasing the non-calcinated parts and the precipitates. The above-mentioned installation is characterised in that it also comprises means (7) of conveying at least one silicate into the dilution water.
