Embodiments of the present invention generally provide a method, apparatus, and system for monitoring conditions in wellbore (130) in real time prior to setting an inflatable element (112) in the wellbore. The inflatable element is inflated with an inflation tool (114) run on a cable with one or more electrically conductive wires (122) (the cable is commonly referred to as a "wireline" (120)). One or more sensors (118), internal or external to the inflation tool, are monitored before setting the inflatable element to verify well conditions are compatible with the inflatable element. The sensors may be internal or external to the inflation tool. Dans ses différents modes de réalisation, la présente invention concerne de manière générale un procédé, un appareil et un système permettant de surveiller, en temps réel, les conditions régnant dans un puits de forage (130), avant la mise en place d'un élément gonflable (112) dans ledit puits de forage. Cet élément gonflable est gonflé au moyen d'un outil de gonflage (114) guidé le long d'un câble pourvu d'un ou de plusieurs fils électroconducteurs (122), ce câble étant communément appelé « câble de forage » (120).
