ASSAY FOR DETECTION OF TRANSLOCASE ENZYME ACTIVITY IN DRUG SCREENING

The invention provides a method for assaying the activity of the translocase enzyme involved in peptidoglycan biosynthesis in bacteria using scintillatio n proximity assay methodology. The method is suitable for high throughput screening of potential anti-bacterial drugs.
