Summary: | The invention relates to a packaging material made of a multilayer oriented polyolefin film, which comprises a base layer and at least one first outer layer, whereby the first outer layer is placed in contact with itself or in contact with the opposing surface of the film or in contact with the surface of another film. This fir st outer layer contains an additive which absorbs light within the wavelength range of a laser such that when the film is locally irradiate d by the laser, the area of irradiation experiences an increase in temperature that causes the polyolefin of the first outer layer to soften or melt in the irradiated area and to bond to another layer when cooled. |
