Summary:A load cell body (10, 10') for measuring components of force and moment in plural direction includes an integral assembly having a rigid central hub (14) and a rigid annular ring (16) concentric with the central hub (14). At least three radial tubes (21, 22, 23, 24) extend radially along corresponding longitudinal axes (21A, 22A, 23A, 24A) from the central hub (14) to the annular ring (16). Flexure members (31, 32, 33, 34) join the radial tubes (21, 22, 23, 24) to the the annular ring (16). Each flexure member (31, 32, 33, 34) is compliant for displacemnt of each corresponding radial (21, 22, 23, 24) tube along the corresponding longitudinal axis (21A, 22A, 23A, 24A). As a load cell (10, 10'), a strain sensor (44, 46, 48) mounted on each radial tube (21 , 22, 23, 24) measures strain therein.
