Summary:The present invention relates to a process for making disposable absorbent articles comprising two materials (10 and 20) which are adhered to each othe r. Importantly, the process utilizes a continuous roll printing unit (30) to provide an adhesive (2) onto a discontinuous series of separated pieces of a substrate material (10). This adhesive printing process can be used to provi de full surface covering adhesive areas without the need to cut through the adhesive (2) when separating the pieces of the substrate material (10) after application of the adhesive (2).
