Novel benzene derivatives of the formula (I) shown below, pharmacological salts thereof, pharmacological solvates of the above-mentioned benzene derivatives and salts, pharmaceutical compositions including, as active ingredients, the above-mentioned compounds, and especially, prophylactic or therapeutic medicines for allergic diseases. (see formula I) wherein R1 - H, C1 - C12 cyclic or straight or branched chain alkyl group (which may be substituted by one or more C6 - C10 aryloxy groups), C7 - C12 aralkyl group (of which the aryl group may be substituted one or more of halogen, methyl and methoxy, or C3 - C10 alkenyl which may be substituted by one or more phenyl groups; A = O, S or CH2 group, B = CO or CZ2CO group (Z = H or F), R2 - H or C1 - C4 alkyl group, X = halogen or methyl group, and Y = H; NO2 or CN group. Novel benzene derivatives represented by general formula (I) which are characterized by having a potent effect of inhibiting IgE antibody production and usable as a preventive or remedy for allergic diseases, pharmaceutically acceptable salts of the same or solvates thereof; and medicinal compositions containing the same as the active ingredient, in particular, preventives or remedies for allergic diseases. In said formula, R1 represents H, cyclic, linear or branched C1-12 alkyl optionally substituted by one or more C6-10 aryloxy groups, C7-12 aralkyl wherein the aryl group optionally has one or more substituents such as halogeno, methyl or methoxy, or C3-10 alkenyl optionally substituted by one or more phenyl groups; A represents O, S or CH2; B represents CO or CZ2CO wherein Z is H or F; R2 represents H or C1-4 alkyl; X represents halogeno or methyl; and Y represents H, NO2 or CN.
