OPENING DEVICE FOR A DISPENSER LID

A dispenser for a dishwasher is provided with a pivoting lid. The lid is spring biased toward an open position. A brake is provided in a lid bearing for opposing the spring. Preferably the brake is a viscosity brake having a wheel moving in grease.
