Summary:Rigid polyurethane foams are produced by reacting an organic polyisocyanate with an amine-initiated polyol produced with an alkylene oxid e comprising propylene oxide, said polyol having a molecular weight of at leas t 149 and a functionality of at least three in the presence of a catalyst, a hydrogen--containing fluorocarbon and a minor amount of water at an isocyanate index of from 0.9 to 3.1. These foams are characterized by initial K-factors which are about 0.135 BTU-in./hr.ft.2 .degree.F or less.
