Summary:Plastic film composites for packages containing a permeability barrier layer, wherein the plastic films of a plastic film composite are composed of materials of the same group of materials, selected from the polyolefins, polyesters or polyamides. A permeability barrier layer of oxides and/or nitrides of metals and/or semi-metals, which is produced by means of thin-layer vacuum processes, is situated between at least two plastic films.
