Summary:Method for making, by means of drawing out of fibres, a superconductive fibre having a high critical temperature and made from a material of the family Bix Pby Sr2 Ca2 Cu3 Oz with 1.9 </= x + y </= 2.3, method according to which a fibre is preformed, the fibre obtained is drawn out and cured in air, and which is characterised by the fact that the said preform consists of a block (1) made from vitreous material of formula Bix Pby Sr2 Ca2 Cu3 Oz, with 1.9 </= x + y </= 2.3, and of a tube (2) surrounding the said block made from a vitreous material of formula Bix' Sr2 Ca1 Cu2 Oz', with 1.5 </= x' </= 2.2.
