More Information
Summary:Hydroxyethylcellulose (HEC), hydrophobically modified hydroxyethylcellulose (HMHEC), hydroxypropylcellulose (HPC), methylhydroxypropylcellulose (MHPC), carboxymethylhydroxyethylcellulose (CMHEC), guar, starch, xanthan, hydroxypropylguar (HP Guar) or carboxymethylhydroxypropylguar (CMHP Guar) are stepwise or continuously reacted with hydrogen peroxide to produce aqueous compositions with a solids content greater than 5% by weight at a viscosity at 25oC below 9500 mPa.s. It is preferred to use 30 50% hydrogen peroxide to depolymerize the polysaccharide.
