Summary: | PROCESS FOR THE WORKING-UP OF ETHYLENE/CARBON MONOXIDE COPOLYMERS A process for working up linear alternating copolymers of carbon monoxide, ethylene and possibly other copolymerizable monomers is disclosed. According to the process, the copolymers are washed with an organic solvent and subsequently dried, the washing and drying being carried out in the absence of molecular oxygen. The process provides copolymers that contain no more than 3% by weight of impurities that are released in the gaseous state on heating the copolymer to its melt temperature. The purified copolymers are suitable for process in customary devolatilizing extruders. |
