Summary:Novel phospholipids, inclusive of pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, of the formula wherein R1 is an aliphatic hydrocarbon residue of 15 to 20 carbon atoms, R2 is an alkyl group of 1 to 4 carbon atoms and R3 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, exhibit inhibitory activity to multiplication of tumor cells and are useful for inhibiting multiplication of tumor cells and prolonging the survival time of tumorbearing warm-blooded animal.
