Summary: | GRINDING MILL DRIVE ARRANGEMENT A drive for a mill such as a heavy loaded grinding mill that rotates upon a rotational axis is provided by a motor driving two axially aligned spaced apart pinions that mesh with their respective ring gears positioned in spaced locations on the mill. The pinions are drivingly interconnected by a pair of vernier type couplings interconnected by a jack shaft so that the angular position of the two pinions may be accurately adjusted to balance the load carried by each of the pinions. |
