Summary: | A process for producing a fiber bundle is disclosed. The process comprises forming a bundle of a plurality of optical fibers produced from a glass material which substantially does not undergo any optical change upon radiation, placing a glass material which is easily colored upon exposure to between the bundled optical fibers radiation, exposing the resulting fiber bundle to radiation to color the glass material between the optical fibers to form a colored light-absorbing section between the individual optical fibers bundled. |
