Summary:This invention combines the exhaust pipe, tailpipe and muffler presently in use to silence exhaust gases of internal combustion engines into one continuous unit. The use of two pipes, one of which fits into the other such that gases may pass alternatively through the inner pipe as well as in the area between the two pipes and with the inner pipe having incorporated into it various size openings at particular locations as well as inner and outer baffles, creates the necessary expansion, resonance and spit chambers to effectively muffle or silence the sound of the gases while conducting same to the atmosphere. To install the unit on any vehicle using an internal combustion engine, the unit can be bent to the desired shape and installed in the usual manner using clamps and hangers without reducing the effectiveness of the unit. This system standardizes muffler exhaust systems, reduces manufacturingand storage costs and because of its simplistic design and ease of manufacture can be economically produced using other materials, particularly stainless steel. The unique design allows for a more uniform heat distribution and less entrapment of moisture which decreases rusting thereby prolonging the life of the component.
