AQUEOUS POLYISOCYANATE EMULSIONS USEFUL AS BINDERS IN THE PRODUCTION OF MOLDED ARTICLES
Aqueous polyisocyanate emulsions are made by emulsifying 5 to 70 parts by weight (on a basis of 100 parts) of a polyisocyanate which has not been modified to render it hydrophilic and emulsifiable with 30 to 95 parts by weight (on a basis of 100 parts) aqueous paraffin dispersion known additives in...

Summary: | Aqueous polyisocyanate emulsions are made by emulsifying 5 to 70 parts by weight (on a basis of 100 parts) of a polyisocyanate which has not been modified to render it hydrophilic and emulsifiable with 30 to 95 parts by weight (on a basis of 100 parts) aqueous paraffin dispersion known additives in the presence of water. The water is used in a quantity such that the emulsion has a solids content of from 6 to 90 wt. %. These emulsions are particularly useful as binders in the production of molded articles. |
