Summary:Metal salts which are sparingly soluble, in particular silver halides, are prepared by mixing at least one solution A which contains at least one cation of the metal salt, with at least one solution B which contains at least one anion of the metal salt, by running at least one of these solutions into a reaction vessel where solutions A and B are mixed, characterised in that this solution is run in for at least part of the precipitation process in such a way that the concentration of the inflowing solution continuously changes. The invention provides for a short precipitation time and makes it possible to work in concentrated solutions.
