This invention relates to novel phosphoramidothioates of the formula: wherein A is optionally substituted (C6-C10) aryl; R is hydrogen or (C1-C6) alkyl; R1 is a) optionally substituted (C1-C6)alkyl,b) (C3-C8) cycloalkyl,c) optionally substituted (C3-C6) alkenyl,d) (C3-C6) alkynyl, ore) optionally substituted (C7-C11) aralkyl; R2 is a) C1-C6)alkylthio, b) (C6-C10)aryloxy, orc) KZ'Z"; wherein Z' is hydrogen or (C1-C6)alkyl; and Z" is hydrogen, (C1-C6) alkyl, (C3-C6) alkenyl, di(C1-C3)alkylamino, 2ethylthioethyl, 2-methoxyethyl or(C1-C4)alkoxycarbonylalkyl(C1-C4); R3 is unsubstituted (C1-C6) alkyl; and X is oxygen or sulfur; to compositions containing them and to methods of using them to control certain harmful pests.
