Summary:The present invention relates to an improved method for drug discovery comprising using contact residue information derived from antibody-protein target interactions to help to direct the growth of small molecule fragments during the synthesis of a drug candidate. In particular, the present invention relates to the use of atomic structural information derived from anti-body-protein interactions to guide the growth of small molecular fragments during lead optimisation, thus generating small molecule compounds which can alter the biological activity of a target protein.
