USO DE ANTìGENOS DE LEISHMANIA EM MéTODO DIAGNóSTICO, VACINA E TERAPIA PARA LEISHMANIOSE. A presente invençào se refere ao uso de antígenos recombinantes diferentes entre si obtidos a partir de genes de Leishmania chagasi/Leishrnania infantum, em ensaios visando identificar, detectar e quantificar anticorpos específicos em material biológico, incluindo soro, plasma, saliva e urina, obtido de seres humanos, de càes e de outros hospedeiros vertebrados da Lei shraania. Estes antígenos recombinantes ou seus genes ou parte dos genes que os codificam podem ser utilizados para o diagnóstico das leishmanioses, quer seja a infecção e/ou a doença. A presente invenção se refere ainda ao uso desses antígenos recombinantes, ou genes ou parte dos genes que os codificam ou ainda formulações contendo esses antígenos, para o tratamento e/ou vacinas para seres humanos, cães e outros hospedeiros vertebrados, contra leishmanioses.
