Summary:The separator (1) has a separator unit (2) comprising a filter body (10) that is arranged in a blow-by-gas path (11) so that the filter body is flow throughable by blow-by-gas. Another separator unit (3) is arranged in a bypass path (18) that bypasses the unit (2). A bypass vale (4) opens the bypass path when a differential pressure at the unit (2) exceeds a pre-determined value. The unit (3) has a deflector (19) that is formed by a section of the filter body of the unit (2). A flow guiding element (20) is formed by a valve body (22) of the bypass valve.
