Summary:A release-limiting device, located in the region of the external circumference of an intermediate pressure plate arranged axially between two clutch discs, comprises a fastening plate 16 held on the plate and engaging on each side by means of friction elements 40 an axially displaceable push member 19 or 20, a bolt 17 anchored in the push member 19 and penetrating an axial slot in the plate 16 and a hole 28 in the push member 20, and a spring 18 pressing the push member 19 against the plate 16 and clamped on the side of the member so remote from the member 19 between the member 20 and the bolt 17. In modifications, (Figs 5-7) the device uses stops on the pressure plate rather than on the flywheel, the intermediate housing or the cover.
