O documento provê uma composição farmacêutica para o tratamento de uma doença cerebral degenerativa, incluindo um transportador de glicina como ingrediente ativo. Uma composição que inclui, como ingrediente ativo, uma proteína transportadora de glicina, um fragmento da mesma ou uma molécula de ácido nucleico que codifica a proteína ou seu fragmento, um vetor que inclui a molécula de ácido nucleico ou uma célula transformada com o vetor que inclui a molécula de ácido nucleico, de acordo com uma modalidade, não só pode alcançar excelentes efeitos de inibição da agregação de beta-amiloide e/ou degradação de beta-amiloide agregada, porém, também degrada a proteína tau (e/ou inibição da sua agregação), inibe a hiperfosforilação de proteína tau, e possui excelente permeabilidade da barreira hematoencefálica, possibilitando, assim, atuar sucessivamente nos tecidos cerebrais. Portanto, a composição pode ser efetivamente aplicada na prevenção e/ou tratamento de várias doenças cerebrais degenerativas associadas à agregação beta-amiloide, agregação de proteína tau e/ou proteína tau hiperfosforilada. Therefore, the composition can be effectively applied to the prevention and/or treatment of various degenerative brain diseases associated with amyloid-beta aggregation, tau protein aggregation, and/or hyperphosphorylated tau protein.
