A invenção se refere a um dispositivo (1) de posicionamento relativo dos maxilares inferior e superior de um sujeito, que compreende placas oclusais (10, 11) destinadas a ser dispostas sobre as arcadas dentárias dos maxilares inferior e superior do sujeito e ligadas por órgãos de ligação (20) dispostos em posição oclusal, entre as placas oclusais, cada órgão de ligação compreendendo partes de extremidade posterior (21) e anterior (22) tornadas solidárias e articuladas sobre uma face oclusal respectiva (100, 110) das placas oclusais superior e inferior, de maneira a solicitar a dita placa oclusal inferior para uma direção para a frente, caracterizado pelo fato de que cada órgão de ligação é constituído por uma biela rígida de comprimento fixo da qual a parte de extremidade posterior está sobre a placa oclusal superior e pelo fato de que a posição da parte de extremidade posterior de cada biela rígida é regulável longitudinalmente no plano oclusal de maneira a ajustar a posição da placa oclusal inferior.
