Summary:Provided is a process for coating at least part of a surface of a support with a porous metal-organic framework comprising at least one at least bidentate organic compound coordinated to at least one metal ion. The process comprises the following steps: (a) spraying the at least one part of the support surface with a first solution comprising the at least one metal ion; (b) spraying the at least one part of the support surface with a second solution comprising the at least one at least bidentate organic compound; wherein step (b) is carried out before, after or simultaneously with step (a), to form a layer of the porous metal-organic framework.
