Summary: | The method can be used in metallurgy for the preparation of selenium containing lead allows. It guarantees high degree of selenium assimilation and alloy homogeneity at reduced energy costs and improved labour conditions. By the method, the temperature of the metal smelt, after the assimilation of the alloying elements, is increased to 520-590°C. The stirring mechanism is shifted outside the centre of the bath, in a cone-like funnel formed in the smelt by the centrifugal forces of the process of agitation, portions of preset total amount of the metallic selenium being fed in succession. After the last portion is fed, the smelt is agitated for 5 minutes. |
