Summary: | The sensor is intended for use in the medical, pharmaceutical, biotechnological, and bio-electronic technologies. It has enhanced sensitivity, mechanical durability and fast response, ensuring stable, precisely defined and adjustable during exploitation parameters. The element consists of a solid-state, semiconductor plate (1), wherein a source area (2) and a drain area (3) are situated, separated by a channel area (4), with an insulating layer on top (5). The electric outlets of the source (2) and the drain (3) areas are metal rims (6). The polar electrolyte (7) enclosing the reference electrode (8) is placed above the insulating layer (5). A hybrid controllable GBLM structure is created, where along the channel area (4) above the insulation layer (5), a liquid film is formed, which presents a volume pool (9), as well as a bimolecular layer (10) whereon the polar electrolyte (7) is applied. An option is available having the volume pool (9) and the bimolecular layer (10) designed to contact the upper channel area (4). |
