Summary: | Title compsn. is improved by the addition of a small amt. of a precipitation-preventing agent (pref. a polymeric metaphosphate) and an alkaline agent (which does not form any chelates) in an amt. such that the pH of the compsn. diluted to the working concn. is 8.5-12.0. Due to the relatively high alkalinity, the germicidal props of the quat. ammonium salt are not affected by the presence of non-ionic detergents and even high hardness of water usd as a medium. The compsn. is esp. suitable for use in animal rearing and is biologically decomposable. |
