Summary:1351103 Protective guards for vehicles; vehicle bumpers CLARK EQUIPMENT CO 24 March 1972 [26 April 1971] 13792/72 Headings B7B and B7J The upper 62 and lower 32 portions of legs supporting an overhead guard 90 on an industrial truck are pivotally interconnected, locking pins 66 being provided to fix the legs in the upright position. The leg portions overlap and pins 66 are insertable in holes in both portions above the points of pivotal connection 64. Springs 76 connected between first leg portions and the guard 90 or second leg portions aid return to the upright position after the guard has been collapsed rearwardly. Leaf springs 87 perform a similar function following forward pivotal movement. Pins 66 may be inserted in the locking holes of portions 62 whilst these portions are pivoted forward to prevent return to the upright position. A bumper bar 106, urged forwardly by springs 108, is provided on the guard.
