Summary: | A coated transparent substrate has a metallic or nitrided niobium, tantalum and/or zirconium functional layer and an aluminum and/or silicon nitride and/or oxynitride cover layer. A transparent substrate has a solar radiation active thin film stack comprising a functional layer based on metallic or partially or fully nitrided niobium, tantalum and/or zirconium covered by a layer based on aluminum nitride, aluminum oxynitride, silicon nitride and/or silicon oxynitride. Independent claims are also included for the following: (i) single or double glazing incorporating the above substrate; and (ii) a curtain wall-type facade face panel incorporating the above substrate with an opaque coating. Preferred Features: The substrate consists of clear or tinted glass or a flexible or rigid transparent polymer. |
