Summary: | A visible measurement beam (11) from a semiconducting laser (10) is collimated and modulated. A receiver lens (15) acquires the light reflected from the remote object and focusses it onto a receiving device. A switchable deflection device (28) forms an internal reference path between the laser and the receiving device. An electronic evaluation device (25) derives and indicates the distance to the object (16). The receiving device contains a light conductor (17') connected to an optoelectronic transducer (24) and with its light entry surface in the imaging plane of the receiver lens for large object distances. The surface can be controllably displaced from this position transversely wrt. the lens's optical axis. |
