Summary: | The invention relates to a targeted toxin molecule comprising a toxin and a proteinaceaous molecule with binding activity for a receptor on the surface of a target cell, whereby the proteinaceous molecule is the ligand on a functional derivative or fragment thereof and the toxin has a molecular weight of no more than 1500 D. More specifically the ligand is IL-2, or preferably only its binding domain. The toxin may be any small toxin, for instance calicheamycin, verrucarin etc.. The toxin molecules according to the invention localize faster and are less immunogenic. |
