Summary:This invention relates to fiber pads (10) which can be used in various application, for example, as carrier substrates for selective separation of one or more types of biological particles, for example, cells or virus particles, from a medium containing a mixture of different types of biological particles. In particular, the present invention concerns a fiber pad (10) and method for using the fiber pad for the separation of different types of biological particles based on proteins present on the surfaces of the biological particles.
