Summary:The substituted phenols of the formula in which one of the radicals R1 and R2 is halogen and the other is the group of the formula -CH2NH2, and A is lower alkylene with 3 to 6 carbon atoms of which 3 to 4 carbon atoms are in the unbranched chain, and salts, especially pharmaceutically utilisable, non-toxic acid addition salts of these compounds, can be used as diuretics and saluretics, e.g. for the treatment of oedema, as well as of hypertension.
