Summary:The hair curling appliance has a tubular heating rod (25) around which the hair is wound, containing a heating element (17) extending along its length and a liquid fuel container from which the fuel is supplied via a valve device, for gasification of the fuel, for operation of the heating element. The valve is controlled via a thermostat (6), thermically screened from the heating element by a separation wall (49) and heated by the heat radiation emitted by the heating rod.
