VINYLIDENE CHLORIDE COPOLYMER RESIN FILM HAVING LOW OXYGEN PERMEABILITY
Tubular packaging film esp. for foods with a low-oxygen permeability and a low softening point consists of two layers of vinylidene chloride copolymers, the first having an oxygen permeability at 30 degrees C of less than 3.0 x 10-12 cc.cm/cm2 sec. cm Hg. and the second having a softening temp. belo...

Summary: | Tubular packaging film esp. for foods with a low-oxygen permeability and a low softening point consists of two layers of vinylidene chloride copolymers, the first having an oxygen permeability at 30 degrees C of less than 3.0 x 10-12 cc.cm/cm2 sec. cm Hg. and the second having a softening temp. below 20 degrees C the first layer forming the inner layer in contact the packaged material. Both surfaces of the first layer are covered with the second layer. The first and second layers has a thickness of 3-70 mu. The outer second layer has a thickness of 20-70 mu. The copolymer contians 65-95 wt.% vinylidene chloride and 35-5 wt.% chloride. Protects packaged foods against oxygen and remains flexible at low temps. e.g. below 5 degrees C. |
