POLYISOCYANATES HAVING BIURET GROUPS
Polyisocyanates that contain biuret groups are prepared. They are obtained by reacting organic polyamines having two primary amino groups not attached to aliphatic and/or cycloaliphatic moieties with organic polyisocyanates that are free of biuret groups in a molar NH2/NCO ratio of from 1:5 to 1:100...

Summary: | Polyisocyanates that contain biuret groups are prepared. They are obtained by reacting organic polyamines having two primary amino groups not attached to aliphatic and/or cycloaliphatic moieties with organic polyisocyanates that are free of biuret groups in a molar NH2/NCO ratio of from 1:5 to 1:100. The polyamines are reacted in the form of vapour directly with the polyisocyanates which have been heated to a temperature of from 100 DEG C to 250 DEG C. The resulting polyisocyanates with biuret groups can be used for preparing high-grade, weather-resistant, light-stable coatings. |
