Summary:The invention relates to functionalized supporting materials which can be obtained by the following method steps: a) preparing a base support; b) introducing a group which is open to metathesis graft polymerization into said base support; c) grafting monomers, which are open to metathesis polymerization and which contain separation effectors or the precursor groupings thereof, into the base support derived according to step b); d) optionally converting precursor groupings introduced in step c) into separation effectors by means of polymer-analogous conversion. The invention also relates to a method for producing said supporting materials. The inventive functionalized supporting materials are suited as sorbents used in chromatographic separations.
